The Client

Established in 1992, Spectrum Sportswear manufactures team uniforms and street wear. It supplies clubs, schools and corporations throughout Australia, and also overseas.

It is a specialist sublimation printer with a large client list, which has included the Australian Paralympic Cycling Team and the United States National Netball Team.

The Project

Our Brief

The majority of Spectrum Sportswear’s work comes from website traffic. It therefore needed an E-Commerce site that would display its products to advantage and encourage enquiries.

The company completes most jobs over a period of several weeks. A deposit is paid at the outset and the balance is due at completion. A traditional “order and pay immediately” structure does not suit this process.

Our task was to adapt the E-Commerce format to allow for “made to order” products.

Our Approach

We solved the problem by constructing the site in “catalogue” mode. This shows all the usual product information such as prices, images, sizes and colours, but customers only make payment after receipt of a written quote.

Each individual product page contains a product enquiry form. This encourages customer engagement beyond casual browsing and also enables capture of contact information for future email marketing.
